Josien is a Dutch Occupational Therapist and lives in Amsterdam. With Child Development she visits various international schools in Amsterdam and she also works at the Opvoedpoli.

In 2004 Josien finished her education as an Occupational Therapist in Amsterdam and since then she has been working with children and youth in different settings.

​

She likes to make therapy fun, so that the child doesn't experience it as being therapy. With a playful therapy approach, she helps the children to develop in all different areas, such as fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, difficulty in handwriting, self-care and play. The ideas and goals of the child and their families are central in the therapy process.

​

Besides working with children she loves to spend time with her family and friends. She takes full advantage of the benefits the city of Amsterdam has to offer, like going to the theatre, festivals, concerts and when the sun shines relaxing on a terrace or in a parc.
